Angular-CLI provides you with boilerplates for a quick start and configures everything you need for development such as development server and a build process for deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is package.json?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every Angular project is a Node.js npm package project. All npm packages contain a file, usually in the project root, called\u00a0<code>package.json<\/code>\u00a0&#8211; this file holds various metadata relevant to the project. This file is used to give information to\u00a0<code>npm<\/code>\u00a0that allows it to identify the project as well as handle the project&#8217;s dependencies. It can also contain other metadata such as a project description, the version of the project in a particular distribution, license information, even configuration data &#8211; all of which can be vital to both\u00a0<code>npm<\/code>\u00a0and to the end users of the package.
